VIDHIGYA- National Moot Court Competition by University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University

The aim is to provide the participants an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the emerging trends of Cyber Law along with honing communication skills which is one of the important attributes of a good lawyer.

Bar & Bench

University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University is inviting law students from colleges and universities to register for the VIDHIGYA- National Moot Court Competition which will be held offline from November 3, 2022 to November 5, 2022.

The Chandigarh University Vidhigya National Moot Court Competition, 2022 is being organised with an intention to give a new experience of learning and development to the budding lawyers in the field of law practice, research, writing and advocacy by granting them an exposure at the national level.

The aim is to provide the participants an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the emerging trends of Cyber Law along with honing communication skills which is one of the important attributes of a good lawyer.

Eligibility

The competition is open for students who are studying law (three years or integrated five-year course) during the current academic year.

Venue/Location

The University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University.

Registration Details

a. Online registrations are open from 25 August, 2022. The teams must get provisional registration by sending an email at vidhigya2022.uils@gmail.com with Subject- REQUEST OF PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION BY [Your Institution Name]. Provide requisite details with contact details in the email's body. Last date for provisional registration is 15 October, 2022.

b. After receiving request for provisional registration team will get acknowledgment e-mail, requesting payment of registration fee with link of final registration form. After Making Payment teams have to send their payment details at ibid mail. After verification of payment teams will get final acknowledgment of Registration

c. Registration fee shall be ₹300/-

d. Participants will have to send Payment details with Registration Cum Approval Letter at vidhigya2022.uils@gmail.com.

Awards and Prizes

1. Winning team – ₹31000/-

2. Runner up team – ₹21000/-

3. Best Memorial – ₹11000/-

4. Best Student Speaker – ₹11000/-

5. Best Researcher- ₹11000/-

In addition to the above awards, plaques and certificates are given to other categories of winners all participants will be awarded participation certificates.

  • Release of Moot Problem: 25 August, 2022

  • Last Date of Provisional registration: 15 October, 2022

  • Last Date of Registration: 23 October, 2022

  • Last date of seeking clarification in the moot problem: 25 October, 2022

  • Last Date of Submission of soft copy (.pdf) memorials: 31 October, 2022

  • Researcher’s Test: 3 November, 2022

  • Preliminary Rounds and Quarter Final: 4 November, 2022

  • Semi Finals Round & Finals Round: 5 November, 2022
