Lex Explore is an Open Access, Peer Reviewed, Quarterly & Multidisciplinary legal Journal which provides an online platform to all the academicians, research scholars, lawyers and the law students who are interested in the field of law.

About the Competition

The First National Moot Court Competition, 2023 will be held from 12 to 14 February, 2023. It is a medium for future legal counsel to engage comprehensively in intricate deliberations to frame their arguments in context with the proposition and learn the art of advocacy to polish their skills.

The competition strives to give a platform to the budding lawyers of our country to imbibe analytical skills in real-time situations. The aim is to engage with students and allow them to have the first-hand experience of the complexities of the law.

General Details

The competition is scheduled to be held from 12 to 14 February 2023, on a virtual platform.

Awards

Winning Team – Cash Prize of ₹7,000/- + Trophy + Certificate

Runner up Team – Cash Prize of ₹6,000/- + Trophy + Certificate

Best Memorial – Cash Prize of ₹3,500/- + Trophy + Certificate

Best Speaker – Cash Prize of ₹2,100/- + Trophy + Certificate

Best Researcher - Cash Prize of ₹2,100/- + Trophy + Certificate

Certificate of Appreciation shall be provided to all the participants.

General Rules

  • Each team should consist of a minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.

  • There shall be 2 speakers and 1 researcher designated for each team. The researcher shall be allowed to argue with prior permission of the court and National Administrator in case of illness of the designated speakers.

  • Each team will be provided a team code prior to the submission of memorials via e- mail/WhatsApp.

  • This team code is only for the memorials. Teams should not disclose the identity of their institution in their memorials; such disclosure shall invite penalties including disqualification.

  • The decision for the same shall be at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.

Eligibility

Law students enrolled in 3 years LLB programme and 5 years integrated programme from any college/institution/university recognised by BCI across the country.

Registration Details

  1. Online registrations are open from 05th December, 2022. The teams must register online by 03rd February, 2022.

  2. The registration shall be done by filling up the registration form available at: https://forms.gle/fpApVToGkoXduLoP6. The registration shall be considered complete only when the ‘Registration Fee’ has been paid successfully and the registration form is duly filled with all the credentials.

  3. The participants will receive an official approval mail from organising committee carrying the ‘Team Code’ after 15th January, 2023. The teams shall quote this team code in all further communications with the organising committee.

  4. The registration fee for the competition is ₹1500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred). (Payment details has been given in the Brochure)
