Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.
This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.
In this edition, we speak with Amey Pyati, a first-year law student at the Jindal Global Law School.
Why did you choose to study law?
I chose to study law as it matched both my interests and aptitudes. I am a voracious reader, taking special interest in learning about developments in the legal field. I enjoy doing detailed research and getting all details before forming my opinions on a subject.
What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?
To further my knowledge of the law and legal news, I started perusing various online news portals, and found out about Bar & Bench. It has become my go to news portal for everything law, with its detailed opinion blogs and live coverage of interesting cases within the courts.
I firmly believe that this kind of program, with the experiences and exposure it offers, would be of immense help for me to advance my studies and career in law.
What are your plans after completing law?
To work in the courts under the guidance of experienced senior advocates or at a law firm, so as to explore the practical aspects of different fields of law and understanding which field to study in greater detail during my post graduate studies.
