Jindal Global Law School launches India’s First Online LLM in Corporate & Financial Law in collaboration with UpGrad

Specialised courses that would be taught as part of the programme include M&A Transactions and Private Equity, Commercial Contract Drafting, Corporate Insolvency Law, Competition Law, Banking and Financial Law.

The Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has announced the launch of India’s first and only Online LLM (Master of Laws) Degree in Corporate & Financial Law in partnership with upGrad.

A press release issued by JGLS informs that the course is tailor-made for corporate lawyers who are interested in pursuing higher studies to specialise in corporate and financial law.

The programme will be for one year. Upon the successful competition of the same, the students will receive their the LLM degree from O.P. Jindal Global University.

In tune with the advancements of the digital age, the format of instruction and evaluation for this LLM will be entirely online with 24/7 access to online recorded lectures. The press release adds,

"The online LLM programme shall engage students in contemporary and cutting-edge research, with a focus on legal, regulatory, and economic challenges faced by companies. The combination of upGrad’s online learning platform with the expertise of JGLS Faculty Members would serve as a unique amalgam of technology and legal curriculum, suited for candidates aspiring to work at top law firms and companies in India and abroad."

Specialised courses that would be taught as part of the programme include M&A Transactions and Private Equity, Commercial Contract Drafting, Corporate Insolvency Law, Competition Law, and Banking and Financial Law.

All LLB degree graduates are eligible to apply for the Online LLM course and appear for the JSAT online entrance test/

It is further stated that the programme is ideal for those aspiring to enhance their knowledge and capabilities, as well as play a greater role in Corporate Law Firms and in-house legal departments of companies, both, in India and abroad.
