The Institute for Law and Finance has, for nearly 20 years, dedicated itself to teaching excellence, delivering a complete learning experience in Frankfurt, Europe’s financial capital. It is a center for academic excellence in teaching and research established in 2002 by Goethe University Frankfurt am Main with the support of many prominent institutions.

The Institute offers two degree programs, the LL.M. Finance, launched in 2002 and the LL.M. International Finance launched in 2014. In 2019, the LLM Guide ranked the ILF among the top institutions in the world for its LL.M. programs.
