Online applications for the twelfth edition of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2019) will be accessible from January 13.

The exam, conducted this year by National Law University, Odisha (NLUO), will be held on May 12, from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Online enrollment will begin on January 13 and end on March 31.

As reported earlier, pursuant to the decision of the CLAT Consortium formed late last year, this year’s exam will be offline.

The notification makes it clear that there will be no upper age limit for both the undergraduate and the postgraduate exams, an issue that has stirred controversy in the past. The application fees is Rs. 4000 for general category students and Rs. 3500 for SC/ST and BPL candidates.

Like previous editions, the UG paper of CLAT 2019 will be out of 200 marks, and candidates will be tested on English (40 marks), General Knowledge and Current Affairs (50 marks), Mathematics (20 marks), Legal Aptitude (50 marks), and Logical Reasoning (40 marks). There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
