Bar & Bench

Over the last three years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students provide us with information on campus events and activities, as well as share legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Lavanya Bhatt, a second-year student at the Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), GGSIPU, New Delhi.

(Edited excerpts)

Why did you choose to study law?

I developed a keen interest in our legal system, constitution, and related matters during the lockdown when I was waiting for my 12th standard results. Therefore, I researched around the scope of being a lawyer and then, chose to pursue law.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

I used to follow Bar & Bench during my CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) preparation. Working closely on various opportunities with the team seemed a very good opportunity to me. Being an undergraduate student, I'm still learning, and this program would really help me to gauge where I stand at present.

What are your plans after completing law?

As of now, I wish to go into Alternate Dispute Resolution or Competition and Corporate Law.
