(Edited excerpts)

Why did you choose to study law?

My first attraction towards the field of law was in tenth class, when I was participating in a the Model United Nations. Most participating students were studying Law, and that caught my attention. They were speaking about all kinds of issues without any fear and hesitancy. For me being confident and speaking out are the two most important characteristics that every person should have, and at the time, I lacked in both these qualities which I wanted to overcome.

At that moment I realised that choosing Law could be the right career option for me. For me pursuing Law is more to do with shaping your character. I always wanted to be confident, and for me pursuing Law was the right choice. Moreover, when you know the Law, you always feel confident since you know how to outsmart others.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

From my first year, our faculty told us of platforms like Bar & Bench and how a law student must read articles on daily basis in order to be up to date on the latest happening in Courts. For me Bar & Bench is quite special because it helped me find many competitions in various law schools. Further, insightful articles from various legal experts helped me enrich my knowledge. When I heard that Bar & Bench was inviting applications for its Campus Ambassador Program, I was motivated since many other Law students could also use the platform to their advantage, therefore I applied for it without any second thoughts.

What are your plans after completing law?

I am passionate about Litigation, especially criminal and civil, at the same I am also attracted towards corporate practice especially Company Law, IPR and Real Estate. For me, it is about gaining as much exposure till the end of my fourth year, and then deciding which field I should be focusing on.
