#CallForPapers: Conference on Emerging Trends in Corporate Governance & Labour Management

The conference will be held on 26th March 2020 at Central University of Tamil Nadu in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu.

In India, the recent reform on labour and the consolidation of labour legislations has been introduced with an objective of improving and to ensure ease of doing business in India. With this backdrop, the conference aims to explore the legal relationship between corporate governance, finance structure and the management of labour.

Further, it provides a platform for the academicians, practitioners, professionals and other stakeholders dealing with different dimensions of corporate, financial, and labour laws to share their research works on the important issues for the benefit of all.

SUGGESTED SUB-THEMES

  • Corporate Regulatory Regimes

  • Corporate Governance in Digital Era

  • Banking and financial regulations

  • Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability

  • Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and its effects

  • Code on Wages

  • Industrial relations

  • Social Security and workers

  • Safety, Health and Working conditions of workers

  • Labour Laws and IT Sector

  • Inclusive Employment

The above areas of law and sub-themes are indicative in nature. The participants are free to choose an inter-disciplinary topic involving one or more of the above areas of law or sub-themes, provided that it fits within the broad theme of the conference.

CONFERENCE DETAILS

The conference will be held on 26th March 2020 at Central University of Tamil Nadu in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. Participants are expected to secure their own funds for travel and accommodation. Conference Kit and Conference Lunch will be provided to the presenters on the day of conference.

A limited number of rooms would be made available for accommodation at the venue during the conference which may be provided on applicable tariffs upon request by the outstation participants. It shall be provided on first-come-first-serve basis.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • Only one abstract per author will be considered.

  • Please email the electronic version of the ‘abstract’ of 350 to 500 words in MS-Word (.doc, .docx) file without any identifying references with the subject mentioned as “Name of the Author - Abstract Submission” to departmentoflaw.cutn@gmail.com

  • Please attach a separate MS-word (.doc, .docx) file containing the Title of the Proposed Paper, Name of the Author(s), Name of Co-Author (if any), Designation, Affiliated Institution, Email Address and Contact Number.

  • All the submissions have to be made on or before 11.59 pm on the specified date.

  • Abstracts will be selected through a Select Committee. The criteria for selection will be based on originality, method and relevance to the conference theme.

  • Selected Abstracts will be notified by 13th March, 2020.

MANUSCRIPT / FULL PAPER SUBMISSION

  • Word Limit: 3,500 to 5,000 words including foot notes, references, tables and figures.

  • Font Style: Times New Roman

  • Font Size: 12 fonts for content and 10 for footnotes

  • Line Spacing: 1.5 for content and 1 for footnotes

  • Alignment: Justified

  • Page Margins: 2.5 on all sides

  • Please email the electronic version of the original ‘Manuscript/Full Paper’ in MS-Word (.doc, .docx) file with the subject mentioned as ‘Name of the Author - Manuscript Submission’ to departmentoflaw.cutn@gmail.com

  • Manuscript/Full Paper should be submitted on or before 24th March, 2020.

AUTHORSHIP GUIDELINES

  • Co-authorship is allowed. There can be a maximum of two authors for a research paper. The author as well as co-authors/will have to separately register themselves by paying the requisite registration fees.

  • At least one author must be present for presenting the paper.

  • Only those who submit the manuscript/full paper before deadline will be allowed to participate in the conference and to present their research paper.

REGISTRATION FEE

The participants whose abstracts have been selected, have register by making full payment. In case of more than one author, all the authors must register separately. The detailed information regarding registration fee and the mode of payment is provided herewith.

For Students /Research Scholars : Rs. 800/-

For Academicians/Practitioners : Rs. 1000/-

The Registration payment has to be made through online transaction only. The payment through the mode of Demand Draft/Cheque/Cash will not be accepted. On-spot registration will not be entertained.
