Call for Papers: DNLU’s Centre for Research and Studies in Human Rights (CRaSH)

The centre seeks to undertake interdisciplinary studies involving legal academia and other stakeholders and contribute in the best possible manner to the global pool of knowledge on the subject.

Bar & Bench

Dharmashastra National Law University's Centre for Research and Studies in Human Rights (CRaSH) is inviting submissions for its special issue on Dimensions of Human Rights.

CRaSH is an endeavour of the University to respond to the emerging regime of Human Rights. The centre seeks to undertake interdisciplinary studies involving legal academia and other stakeholders and contribute in the best possible manner to the global pool of knowledge on the subject.

Theme

The centre seeks to undertake research projects on themes based on various human rights. Identification and deeper analysis of issues based on a multitude of human right are carried on in the process. In the lieu of the same we are planning this special issue, aiming at providing a platform to explore the causes, courses, and consequences of those Human Rights.

The sub-themes are:

  • Democracy and Human Rights

  • Literature and Human Rights

  • Society and Human Rights

  • Technology and Human Rights

The Author(s) is not bounded to these themes as they may explore any other relevant themes as well.

The Centre will accept submissions till 10 April, 2023 (11:59 pm)

In furtherance of this initiative, the centre is inviting submissions from academicians, legal scholars and practitioners, researchers, and students with an aim to publish them as a collection and to be posted on the website. It is a precursor to tge upcoming journal of the centre and the university.

The submission types (articles, essays, book reviews, case comments, legislative comments, etc.) are open to author(s) choice.

Submission Guidelines

  • Word Limit: The word-limit for the manuscripts is between 2500-5000 words. This is the firm limit.

  • Font: All submissions must be made in the font Times New Roman or Georgia with heading size 14, text size 12 and spacing 1.5.

  • Co-authorship: Up to a maximum of 2 authors is permitted.

  • Citation Format: · Bluebook 20th edition.

  • Format: All the entries should be submitted in (.doc) or (.docx) format.

  • Originality: The entries must be original, unpublished, and an outcome of the author(s’) own efforts. The Centre follows the UGC plagiarism policy and plagiarism beyond 15% will lead to disqualification.

  • Title: The title should be brief and one that clearly communicates the topic and conveys the essence of the piece to the reader.

Selection Process

The selection of manuscripts for publication shall be subject to the guided discretion of the Editorial team.
