The Rotaract Club of OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat, Haryana is inviting submissions for its Blog across categories and themes. Details below

Submission Categories

The Call for Blogs welcomes all kinds of submissions, including (but not limited to) articles, research pieces, opinions, case comments, short notes, short stories, poems, ghazal, etc.

Word Limit

The Word Limit is as follows:

  • Short Pieces: Up to 800 words

  • Long Pieces: Up to 1500 words

  • Poems/ Songs/ Ghazal: Around 200 words (Longer Submission Acceptable)

Themes

A.   Religion

  • Contrast Between Religious Practices over Region (e.g., North India v. South India, etc.)

  • Spirituality behind Religion

  • Note: The Sub-Themes are NOT exhaustive.

B.   Culture

  • Historicity of Traditions

  • Note: The Sub-Themes are NOT exhaustive.

C.   Climate Change

D.   Art, Music, etc./ Recreation

  • Impact of Recreation in Life

  • What does one mean by Art?

  • Note: The Sub-Themes are NOT exhaustive.

Submission Guidelines

  • Authorship: Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.

  • Formatting Guidelines: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5, Justified.

  • Referencing: All references must be in the form of hyperlinks in the body of the submission. In case no hyperlink is available for any reference, the use of endnotes is recommended. The endnotes must conform with the 4th edition of the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) style of citation.

  • File Format: Submissions must be in a Word format (‘.doc’ or ‘.docx’).

  • Originality: All works must be original and unpublished.

Review Process

  1. The submissions would be subjected to a review process and the Board’s decision on confirmation or rejection shall be communicated within a fortnight.

  2. The Board may suggest some suggestions or amendments and the final publication of the manuscript is contingent on the incorporation of such suggestions to the satisfaction of the Board.

  3. The decision of the Board would be final.

Copyright Policy

Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication by the Editorial Board, the copyright is vested in the Blog. However, the moral rights over the manuscript shall vest in the author(s).

The Rotaract Blog primarily promotes the club’s motto, Enhancing Inclusivity, Celebrating Unity and seeks to view it from multiple lenses including legal, political, social, economic, etc. It invites both monthly and rolling submissions of blogs.
