Therefore, it has to be called Tamil Nadu High Court.”.The Bill also seeks to rename the other chartered courts – Bombay and Calcutta – to the High Court of Judicature at Mumbai and Kolkata respectively. Last month, the Calcutta High Court rejected the Centre’s proposal to rename the High Court.
