AG Vahanvati, SG Parasaran, ASG Nageshwar Rao appear in Collegium row matter; Supreme Court reserves judgmentFebruary 26 2014
Refusing to dismiss the Collegium row as infructuous, the Supreme Court proceeded to hear the parties concerned in the PIL filed by Senior Advocate R Gandhi before reserving its judgment on the same. The case was heard by a 3-judge Bench comprising Justices BS Chauhan, Jasti Chelameswar and MY Eqbal.
Attorney General Goolam Vahanvati represented the Madras High Court. Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran represented the Central government while Additional solicitor General Nageshwar Rao appeared for the Supreme Court.
