Advocates submit draft Regulations on prevention of sexual harassment; Attorney General directed to review the regulationsJuly 4 2013
The Supreme Court yesterday directed the Attorney General to review the draft Regulations on prevention of sexual harassment of women in the Supreme Court. The Gender Sensitisation & Sexual harassment of Women at the Supreme Court of India (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Regulations, 2013 was submitted before the Court yesterday by Advocates Vibha Makhija and Binu Tamta.
The Regulations provide for the redressal of gender discrimination apart from sexual harassment. According to the Regulations, a complaint of gender discrimination or sexual harassment can be made to the Gender Sensitisation . . .
