Additional Advocate General for Karnataka Devadatt Kamat resigns from the post

The Additional Advocate General for Karnataka Devadatt Kamat tendered his resignation from the post on Wednesday citing personal reasons.

In his resignation letter addressed to the Governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Vala, Kamat has cited personal reasons for his resignation while expressing his gratefulness for the opportunity to serve his home State. He writes,

"I have been privileged to represent the State as Additional Advocate General in the Supreme Court since 2015.
