Supreme Court says two-finger test violates  victim’s privacy and dignity

In a judgment delivered on April 9, 2013, a Division Bench of Justices BS Chauhan and FM Kalifulla observed that the “two finger test” used in cases of rape, “violates the right of rape survivors to privacy, physical and mental integrity and dignity.” The judgment was delivered in the case of Lillu v State of Haryana where the Appellant had been convicted of the offence of rape and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment.
