Never known for their #brevity, Indian lawyers have been a bit slow to adopt to the 140-character limit. Nonetheless, there are those who have taken to Twitter much like the proverbial duck.

And the results are for all to see. Twitter allows lawyers to source information on the latest developments right from the courts. At the same time, it can also entertain. Given below is our list of eleven tweeters every lawyer ought to follow.

1. Justice Markandey Katju (@mkatju): Judge and Executioner

Throughout his illustrious, often controversial career as a judge of the apex court, Justice Katju always had people listening to him. Boxed up at home post retirement, perhaps unused to the peace, quiet and lack of public attention, he has taken to social media with a vengeance.

His is a handle for all seasons, with posts ranging from the revelatory to the informative, to just plain old ridiculous. His tweets on how beautiful women should be given high posts in government, although made in jest, (allegedly) are for the archives.
