Priya Pillai joins the fight against criminal defamation

Greenpeace activist Priya Pillai has moved the Supreme Court in a challenge to provisions relating to criminal defamation. The activist has also sought the quashing of a criminal complaint filed against her by Essar Limited. The said complaint is pending before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.
