The NLS Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counselling Competition (NLS Client Counselling Competition) 2017, is being organised by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, India from May 4 to May 7, 2017. .The competition is being organised in association with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Negotiation Competition (INC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Young Mediator’s Initiative (YMI) and the Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration (AFIA) ..The competition aims to provide a platform to students from all over the world to develop and showcase their alternative dispute resolution skills in a tournament which brings together all types of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms..Further, the NLS NMC 2017 is continuing their association with the International Chamber of Commerce. Taking the collaboration forward, the winners of the NLS-NMC Mediation Competition will directly qualify for the 13th edition of the International Commercial Mediation Competition (ICMC) to be held in Paris in 2018..The Negotiation rounds at the competition shall act as the National Qualifier Rounds for the International Negotiation Competition 2017 (INC). Consequently, the winners would represent India at the international rounds at the University of Oslo, Norway..The registration for Indian teams is now closed. However, registration for International teams is still open. International teams may express their interest by replying at adrboard@nls.ac.in by March 25, 2017..List of selected Universities for the competition (24 teams in each event) will be released on March 20, 2017 on their website and Facebook page.
