Supreme Court enhances Law Clerks stipend to 30,000 per month

In a welcome move, the Supreme Court has enhanced the monthly stipend payable to those clerking at the apex court. The revision has raised the stipend from from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month, effective from the first of this month.  Furthermore, the stipends payable to those clerks whose period of assignment has been extended beyond the normal period of one year has been increased to Rs. 32,000 per month.
