Senior Advocate Pinky Anand has been appointed Additional Solicitor General in the Supreme Court. She took charge yesterday as per this report..She joins the team of six Additional Solicitor Generals, including L Nageshwar Rao, Maninder Singh, Neeraj Kishan Kaul, PS Narasimha, PS Patwalia and Tushar Mehta..Speaking to Bar & Bench, on her appointment Pinky said, “It is a big honour that has been bestowed on me and I am happy that I can continue to serve the country. It’s a challenge. I am both excited and nervous.”.She is the seventh ASG to be appointed by the new government. She is the second woman lawyer to be appointed as ASG, the first one being Senior Advocate Indira Jaising who resigned following the change of government..Pinky has been practicing for 34 years and is an expert in the field of Constitutional law, property matters, family Law and environmental issues.
