No Maaza for Bisleri says Delhi HC Coke on top

The Delhi High Court has directed Bisleri International not to sell its mango-flavoured soft drink under the trade name \'Maaza\' in India.

Coca-Cola had filed a trademark suit in the Delhi High Court over the use of the mark \'Maaza\' by Bisleri. Formerly known as Golden Agro, and later as Aqua Minerals, Bisleri had sold the Maaza trademark to Coca Cola in the Indian market. However, they had reserved their rights to use the mark overseas.

This will be a good case that will decide whether exporting goods from India by someone competent to sale the same in foreign markets (without actually selling same in India) would be construed as infringement of mark.
