The main legal issues to be considered while evaluating investment opportunities in this sector are an assessment of the franchise/other relevant distribution models, and an assessment of the real estate rental arrangements, both of which could impact the scalability of such businesses”..Partner Amrut Joshi added, “Most investments in the Quick Service Restaurants/takeaways space in India have been early stage venture capital investments. This is the second restaurant company to go public after Jubilant Food Works, the exclusive franchisee for Domino’s Pizza chain in India.
