Close to 25,000 candidates across 39 cities write AIBE VI, result to be declared on February 25

The sixth All India Bar Exam (AIBE VI) was held yesterday in 39 cities across India. As per the Chairman of the Bar Council of India (BCI) Manan Kumar Mishra, around 25,000 candidates appeared for AIBE VI..The exam, which was initially scheduled for December 22, 2013, had been postponed to January 19 due to the formation of new State Bar Councils in Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura..Speaking to Bar & Bench, Manan Kumar Mishra said that the exam was held without any hitches in all the centres..Bar & Bench spoke to a few candidates who wrote AIBE VI..Sravya Movva who wrote the exam in New Delhi had this to say: “It was a fairly decent question paper. There was not much of a difference in the pattern from the previous question papers. Many questions were asked from “bare acts”. There were some application level questions too and many questions were based on case laws. The exam was well organised though there was some confusion in my examination centre regarding Hindi question papers.”.Prajwala Lagali who wrote the exam at Bengaluru said that “The question paper was very easy and could be answered with the help of study materials provided by Rainmaker. I did not see a point in the exam as it does not test your application or analytical skills. You could walk into the hall with the “bare acts” and Rainmaker study materials and clear the exam.”.The result of the exam would be declared on February 25.
