Amity Law School Noida recently organized the “2nd Amity International Moot Court Competition” from October 10-12 2012. Symbiosis Law School, Pune won the 2nd Amity International Moot Court Competition..The Symbiosis team consisting of Neeati Narayan, Shayan Dasgupta and Indraneel Gunjal, defeated the team from Gujarat National Law University in the final rounds. Symbiosis team took away the coveted trophy with cash prize of Rs. 12000..Out of the thirty teams which participated, the two other teams which made it to the semi finals were HNLU, Raipur and Symbiosis Law School, Noida..Symbiosis Pune team also bagged the Best Memorial Award. The Best Mooter Award (male) went to Rohan Nadimpally from HNLU Raipur while the Best Mooter Award (female) went to Ankita Lala from Amity Law School, Jaipur..The moot court competition was organized at Amity Law School, Noida campus in collaboration with International Society of Military Law and Law of War. The moot problem was based on International Humanitarian Law, validity of Security Council resolution mandate..The valedictory function was organized on October 12, 2012 and was graced by the presence of Justice Markandey Katju, Chairman Press Council of India and former Judge, Supreme Court of India; Ravi Shankar Prasad, MP and Dy. Leader of Opposition (Rajya Sabha); Mohan Parasaran, Senior Advocate and Additional Solicitor General of India.
