Spice Retail, the multi brand mobile and technology retail chain, has acquired Bangalore-based retail chain, Global Access. B.K. Modi owned Spice Retail has a nationwide network of nearly 700 stores.
“The telecom retail industry is primarily driven by customer footfalls and real estate values of the retail outlets. Global Access’ acquisition indicates that the real estate and retail market dynamics are being exploited by large national players to generate long term value for their businesses,” feels Mahesh Madan Bhat, the name partner of MMB Legal.
Mahesh with his team, comprising Partner Amrut Joshi and Associate Ryan Locke advised Global Access. Spice Telecom’s in house counsel advised on the transaction.
