The Mumbai office of AZB & Partners have advised lead managers JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs on the Rs. 1,650 crore ($343 million dollars) Tata Power GDR issue.
Tata Power issued 14,838,110 Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), each representing one equity share of the Company. Capital Markets Partner Shameek Chaudhuri assisted by Varoon Chandra were the principal counsels on the transaction.
The Singapore Counsels for the lead managers were Linklaters Allen and Gledhill. AZB's 'best friends' tie-up Clifford Chance advised Bank of New York Mellon. The Tata Power Company was represented by the Mumbai office of Amarchand Mangaldas, Suresh A. Shroff & Co.
