Luthra brings Forrester Research to India

Forrester Research, Inc. has acquired Springboard Research, a provider of research and advisory services focused on Asia Pacific and emerging markets. A former division of Knowledge Platform, Springboard Research is headquartered in Singapore and has offices in New Delhi and Beijing.

Luthra & Luthra Law Offices advised Forrester on India acquisition with a team led by Partner Dr. Shweta Hingorani along with Managing Associate, Suyash Srivastava; Senior Associate, Vaibhav Kakkar and Associate, Ashish Pareek.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom acted as the global counsel for Forrester with a team led by Partner Rajeev Duggal.

The global transaction essentially pertains to acquisition of the assets of Knowledge Platform worldwide pertaining to the Springboard i.e. business market research and advisory business.

The transaction has brought together Springboard Research and the brand name Forrester, which is one of the world’s prominent independent research firms. The transaction involved a slump sale in certain jurisdictions and share sale in others of one division of the business of the seller on a going concern basis.

Springboard Research's 48 employees, including 36 research professionals and its entire leadership team, will join Forrester. Furthermore, Forrester will bolster its expanded organization in Asia Pacific with additional hires in core support positions.
