Bombay-based Corporate Law Chambers India have opened their 2009 capital markets account with the Emmbi Polyarns IPO. Emmbi filed their Draft Red Herring Prospectus with the SEBI yesterday. Emmbi proposes to raise Rs. 9.57 crores ($1.9 million approximately) with this IPO.

A.V. Srinivasan, Partner, Corporate Law Chambers, advised the Company on the issue. Smaller IPOs have opened doors for smaller and mid tier law firms to expand their capital markets practices. Ease in fund raising might help smaller firms to raise capital, in turn helping small and mid tier law firms to make their presence felt in the capital markets.
