Matrix Partners India Investment Holdings has invested Rs. 50 crore ($11 million) in New Delhi based Centre for Sight Private Limited, a hospital with specialization in eye-care.
AZB & Partners represented Matrix Partners India Investment Holdings with a team led by Partner Abhijit Joshi along with Senior Associates Niren Patel and Nandish Vyas.
SRGR Law Offices represented Centre for Sight Private Limited with Partner Saroj K. Jha and Senior Associate Akshat Pande.
The Deal Curry reports the Centre for Sight hospital chain will use the funds to expand its network to over 60 eye hospitals in three years and for acquisitions of certain private eye care hospitals in Tier II and Tier III cities. With this investment Avnish Bajaj, Managing Director Matrix India, will join the board of Centre for Sight.
Some of the recent investments in the eye-care sector include Song Investment Advisors capital infusion into Eye-Q Vision Healthcare Private Limited (an eye care speciality chain).
