The constitution of a three-member panel on January 16 by the Lok Sabha to investigate the allegations in the Justice P.D. Dinakaran matter has already run into a road block two days after its constitution.
Former Union Minister for Law and Senior Counsel, Shanti Bhushan is protesting Senior Counsel P.P. Rao's inclusion in the three member committee which also comprises Justice Sirpurkar and Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, A.R. Dave. Shanti Bhushan alleges that P. P. Rao had advised Justice P.D. Dinakaran in December regarding the corruption allegations, consequently leading to a 'conflict of interest'.
Shanti Bhushan added that the Campaign for Judicial Accountability will file an application seeking recusal of P.P. Rao in the event he does not withdraw voluntarily.
