Tiger Woods' website has officially revealed about the finalized divorce settlement of the number one golfer in the world, Tiger Woods with wife of five years and a former model Elin Nordegren.In October 2004, Woods married Elin Nordegren, a Swedish former model and daughter of former Minister of Migration Barbro Holmberg and journalist Thomas Nordegren.
The Judgment was delivered on August 23, in Bay County (Florida) Circuit Court dissolving the marriage. The Judgment provides for shared parenting of their two children.
Am Law reports that Elin Nordegren was advised by McGuireWoods, with attorneys Richard Cullen and Dennis I. Belcher in Richmond, Scott S. Cairns in Jacksonville and Walter H. White, Jr., and Josefin Lonnborg in London, assisted by Rebecca Palmer of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A.
Tiger Woods was represented by Thomas J. Sasser of Sasser, Cestero and Sasser P.A., and Peter T. Mott of Brody Wilkinson, P.C., Golfer’s long time General Counsel.
Elin is a twin, and her sister Josefin Lonnborg is a specialised M & A Attorney in McGuireWoods, the firm which helped Elin Nordegren, in getting the divorce settled.
Above the Law reports that Elin Nordegren will walk away from her marriage to Woods with between $100 million (Rs. 450 crore) and $150 million (Rs. 675 crore). And although contingency fees aren’t permissible in divorce cases, we believe McGuireWoods will be paid well.
Tiger Woods is a renowned American professional golfer all around the world, whose achievements to date rank him among the most successful golfers of all time. According to the Wikipedia he is currently the world number 1 and is the highest-paid professional athlete in the world, having earned an estimated $90.5 million (Rs. 407 crore) alone from winnings and endorsements in 2010.
On December 11, 2009 Woods publicly announced, he would take an indefinite leave from professional golf to focus on his marriage after his admission of infidelity. His multiple infidelities were revealed by women, through innumerable media sources.
