A Big Thank You to You

It’s been a crazy ride. Over this last year, we’ve seen the economy show signs of coming back to full strength, we’ve seen some of the biggest international law firms be sued in India for allegedly practicing Indian law, an All India Bar Examination is in the works and the Supreme Court has passed judgment on a everything from live-in relationships to the banning of books.

We set up Bar & Bench a year ago with a big dream. We knew the road ahead could be rocky but we relied on our readership and you have given us the kind of support a start-up can only dream about. As proud citizens of a country that speaks in one thousand languages, we can only say a humble “thank you.”

There are two other brief announcements we’d like to make.

First, our massive expansion and the changes in our layout have constantly pushed us to be more efficient with our resources. Based as we are in the cyber-hub of Bangalore, we are proud to announce our move to a better and larger cloud server set-up with immediate effect. Not only do we anticipate that this will save us space and streamline our processes, it allows us to demonstrate that, like India, we aspire to be the trendsetter.

Second, even the best workers take a day off once in a while. No, we’ll still be working but our e-mail seems to be taking a little holiday. We’re working on the problem and hope to be receiving and responding to your e-mails very shortly.
