A train accident has led to the tragic demise of 18 year old Sonal Singh, a first year law student of National Law University, Jodhpur. The Delhi bound Mandore Express, had about 52 students from NLU on board most of whom were heading back home after their exams concluded.
The Delhi-based Political Science topper, a graduate from Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, was an extremely bright student, according to NLU Registrar, Ratan Lahoti. Born in Allahabad, she is the daughter of A.K. Singh, an IPS officer currently posted in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
Bar & Bench extends its sincere condolences to the parents and friends of Sonal Singh, and expresses profound regret for the loss of a young and promising life. Rest in peace, Sonal Singh.
