Singh & Associates has set up an India Desk in China in association with Chinese law firm Guangda Law Firm. The Cooperation Agreement between the firms has been signed today and the India Desk will be in effect starting August 2012.

Singh & Associates’ Delhi Corporate Partner Dilip K. Niranjan has moved to Beijing and will head the India Desk along with Principal Associate Harsimran Singh.

Guangda Law Firm is one of the leading full-service law firms in China with 116 full-time lawyers.  The firm is headquartered in Guangzhou with three branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Founding Partner Manoj Singh said, “We had been in talks with our counterpart in China for the last six months. India and China are an important part of the global economy. Keeping this in mind and the growing business between India and China, we decided to set up an India desk in their Beijing office to do more India-China cross investments related work”.

Manoj further said, “We have been provided an office space in Guangda’s Beijing office and initially one partner and principal associate will be stationed there. We will advise the clients interested in outbound investment from China to India on Indian law while our China counterpart will advise on the Chinese law”.

Talking about further growth plans, Manoj said, “We plan to set up India desks in different cities of China and also plan to expand our India team in China to around 8 lawyers including 2 partners.

Singh & Associates considers this collaboration to be a milestone for its fast growing international and domestic presence; and plans to continue focusing on enhancing quality and productivity in its legal advisory services

The firm has 100 plus professionals including lawyers, patent agents, Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries across all its offices in New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Singh & Associate is considered to be amongst top 5 law firms in India in terms of number of employees and turnover. Its a 'A' tier law firm. You would love the work culture there and the kindness bestowed upon you by the people. You can have work-life balance etc. There is absolutely no attrition rate in Singh & Associates. I think all the students of best law schools in India & ABROAD should join singh & associates instead of any other 'A' tier law firm. You would want to be there for life. Trust me.

How can the firm claim to be a member of the International Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association? This sounds very suspicious - can the Bar Council of India please investigate? http://www.legal500.com/firms/32794-singh-associates-advocates-and-solic...

I heard that Indian Law firms are expanding their offices in Singapore, London, Dubai and USA by way of making an arrangement with their reputed law firms or by way of making branch offices but I never heard about China, surprised! I do believe that Manoj must have clear vision about the same. Good alarm for Big Sharks of Indian Legal Industry.
