Former FoxMandal Partner Sandeep Kumar Mahapatra has joined Juris Corp as a Partner with effect from February 15, 2012. Sandeep will further strengthen the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice and will be based in its Delhi office.
Prior to joining Juris Corp, Sandeep was co-heading the litigation practice of FoxMandal. Sandeep joined FoxMandal in 2008 and was promoted to partnership in January 2011. Sandeep told Bar & Bench that he started his career with Dutt Menon and Dunmorrsett in 2002 after completing his post graduation and M.Phil in International law from Jawahar Lal University in Delhi.
Sandeep in the press release said “It is indeed a challenging assignment and my sincere endeavor would be to take the practice of the Firm to the next level and contribute to its Dispute Resolution practice in Delhi"
Sandeep has extensive experience in criminal, civil corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration. He has handled disputes across fora including the Supreme Court, various High Courts, Company Law Board and trial courts.
Juris Senior Partner Mustafa Motiwala in a statement said, “Sandeep’s joining Juris Corp has enhanced the Firm’s Dispute Resolution practice in New Delhi. We look forward to more exciting times ahead”.
This takes the total number of partners at the firm to 13 with 2 partners in Delhi office.
Last year, Juris Corp as part of its expansion plan had absorbed AM Law with the practice of qualified Bombay Solicitor and Founding Partner Mustafa Motiwala along with his team of 6 lawyers.
