Rupinder Malik joins JSA Partnership

Rupinder Malik has joined J. Sagar Associates as a Partner with effect from February 1, 2012. Rupinder will be based out of the firm’s Gurgaon office.

Rupinder Malik has joined J. Sagar Associates as a Partner with effect from February 1, 2012. Rupinder will be based out of the firm’s Gurgaon office.

 

Before joining JSA, Rupinder was with Baker & Mckenzie in Thailand.  She has worked with Baker & Mckenzie for almost nine years and before that she also worked with a well established law firm in India.

 

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Rupinder said, “I am excited to be a part of the JSA team”.

 

Rupinder is a law graduate from Punjab University. She has more than 14 years of experience and specializes in General Corporate Commercial, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Regulatory & Policy. Rupinder has also advised clients on International Trade and WTO related matters and also has substantial experience in litigation. 

 

JSA Founding Partner Jyoti Sagar in a statement said, “Rupinder brings with her a wealth of experience, and her coming on board will enhance and add value to the firm’s already well established Corporate Commercial practice. We warmly welcome her to the JSA family.”

 

This takes the total number of partners at the firm to 50 with 22 partners in Delhi and Gurgaon office.

 

In October last year, Promod Nair had joined JSA as a Partner from Herbert Smith.

"Rupinder will be based out of the firm’s Gurgaon office". Kian, if you were writing in the Lawyer, wouldn't you rather say "Rupinder will be based in the firm’s Gurgaon office" or maybe even "Rupinder will be working out of the firm’s Gurgaon office". Kian, we look to you to improve the standards of legal writing in India.
