Effective January 1 of this year, Vaishakh Kapadia and Kruti Desai in Mumbai and Junia Sebastian and Rajat Bopaiah in Bangalore were elevated to the ALMT partnership.
Junia focuses on corporate compliance and regulatory work at ALMT while Rajat specializes in securities laws and joint ventures.
Vaishakh is a qualified solicitor in India as well as in England and Wales and specializes in acquisitions, private equity and real estate. Kruti, has expertise in M&A and tax.
On the promotions, Prashant Popat, Senior Partner of the Firm said that “It is a testimony of the growth of the Firm. Anyone who is a team player, hardworking and sincere can achieve this, if provided with a level playing field. I wish the four youngsters greater success”. Senior Partner, Aliff Fazelbhoy told Bar & Bench that “The four of them richly deserve the elevation and we welcome them aboard the ALMT partners family.
Speaking with Bar & Bench on their reactions, Vaishakh said “ALMT has played a pivotal role in my professional growth and success. I look forward to the new role and contributing to the future of the Firm”
Saying that she had made the best decision by starting he career with ALMT Legal, Kruti added “I have had a fair share in the growth of the firm from its nascent stage to a full service multi location law firm. I am proud and honoured to be a part of this incredible and brilliant organization called the ALMT family. I hope to contribute in achieving even greater heights for ALMT Legal.”
Junia expressed excitement and happiness as the new role has opened up avenues of growth, challenges and responsibilities. “I am looking forward to traverse this path with great dedication and commitment” she said
Being part of the firm since it started in Bangalore, Rajat said that he has seen firsthand what it takes to grow an organization that was conscious of its core values and was confident that he would be able to contribute to the firm’s success with the support of his colleagues.
With this round of promotions, the global partner strength of the firm stands at 18 across its offices at Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi and London.
