Amarchand gets 2 new partners; Ex Amarchand lawyer Siddhartha Dutta joins as Partner in Kolkata; Anshuman Jaiswal appointed as Partner in Hyderabad office

Amarchand Mangaldas has recently appointed Siddhartha Dutta as a Partner in Kolkata office and has promoted its Principal Associate Anshuman Jaiswal to partnership in Hyderabad office.

 

Siddhartha has rejoined Amarchand Mangaldas after a short stint at Luthra. Siddhartha was earlier working at Amarchand Delhi office. He joined the firm in 2000. He is a is a graduate of ILS Law College, Pune and he also holds a masters degree from London School of Economics.

 

Siddhartha has over 10 years of general litigation and dispute resolution practice experience. Siddhartha’s core practice areas are – General Commercial Litigation, Infrastructure Arbitrations & Litigations, Corporate & Financial Crime, Telecom Litigation & Advisory Strategy and Conflict Advisory in potential dispute situations and Competition Law. Siddhartha will play a key role in growing Amarchand’s Kolkata office.

 

Anshuman had joined the Mumbai office in July 2003, and then relocated to Hyderabad in December 2005. He is a graduate of NALSAR, Hyderabad.

 

Anshuman specializes in Capital Markets and General Corporate Advisory Services. He has advised on a range of transactions, including public offerings, FCCBs, ADRs/GDRs and QIPs. Anshuman is now the only partner in Hyderabad office and will lead a team of about 15 lawyers.

 

Recently, Amarchand Mangaldas Hyderabad corporate Partner Karthik Mahalingam had resigned to join Omidyar Network in Mumbai. Karthik was the only Partner at Hyderabad office leading a team of about 15 lawyers.
