2016 AoR Exam Results: Sahil Tagotra tops, followed by Deepayan Mandal; 145 new AoRs added

The results of the Advocate on Record (AoR) examination held in June 2016 were declared today, with only 145 candidates meeting success out of the 595 lawyers who wrote the exam..About 29 advocates have been declared as eligible to re-appear under Regulation 11(i) of the Regulations regarding the exam and 19 candidates have been declared as eligible to re-appear under Regulation 11(ii)..Last year, 165 advocates had passed the exam..Topping this year’s list is Sahil Tagotra from Pune University. Deepayan Mandal from Symbiosis Law School is ranked second..Sahil works in the Chambers of Gourab Banerji. He also holds an LL.M. from King’s College, London..Commenting on Sahil’s achievement, Senior Advocate Banerji said,.“It’s a wonderful achievement.
